I just recently rediscovered one of my old CoB albums and its pretty good. I know that hardcore black metallers think its wimpy cause of the use of keyboards but its pretty awsome. What are your guys thoughts on them? Here is one of my favorite songs by them :

The problem I have with them is that after hearing them for 30 seconds I want to turn them off and put on Kalmah… Kalmah has a similar sound, they just have sharper teeth.

+1… though kalmah are much heavier really, more blackened in their first 3 releases, more heavy and death like in their last bunch. 12 gauge rapes.
also – try bands like vried, kalmah's first few albums (not black metal, but its a good bridge to it) windir, enfold darkness

Naglfar, listen and love it. Windir, Vreid, Cor Scorpii, listen and orgasm.
I love keyboards, and Kalmah sounds a lot better. I've thought that since the day I heard the song "Swamphell", I love keyboards so much, when they use good synths.

Bah…Their first few albums were pretty damn good if you ask me. Something Wild and Hatebreeder especially.
Newer stuff is just boring as hell however.
I mean…this is pretty good melodeath. The keyboards are just really obnoxious at times…well most of the time.
